Get Sweaty this Valentines Day!

Valentines is right around the corner…

and if you’re like me, you’re all over the idea of spending a special day with someone you love! Whether it’s your husband, or some quality friend time, we thought we would help you come up with some creative date ideas! Of course, ours have a healthy twist to them!

Lots of our ideas can be done in Pinawa, Manitoba! You can make the trip to Pinawa for the day, or plan one of these in your own hometown!


Ski along the amazing trails Pinawa has to offer, and stop at one of the cabins to cozy up together, and prepare a little cookout on the fire.




Hike along the beautiful Trans Canada Trail, all the way to Seven Sisters! Stop at Little Maria’s for a delicious lunch date, and hike back!


Plan an ice fishing date. Make some fun bets for whoever catches the most fish, and biggest fish! For example, if you catch the biggest fish, I will cook whatever you want for dinner tonight! Bring some snacks and food to cook over the warm fire!



Head out for a snowshoeing adventure! Discover unvisited areas in the bush. Bring a blanket and thermos and stop for a little deep woods R & R.



Create your home space into an adult fort and movie theatre! Get out all of the blankets, pillows, candles, and set up the comfiest area to snuggle up for a movie! Prepare some air-popped popcorn, drizzled with some flaxseed oil and sprinkled with sea salt!



Try out Mad Backs Partner Workout on February 17th, then head down to the arena at noon for a fun game of broomball! Afterwards, head down to the Wilderness Edge for an intimate steak dinner, with live music!


Participate in some of the fun events happening in Pinawa for the Whiteshell Winter Arts Festival! Try a workshop together, yoga, meditation, and more! Check them out on Facebook!


Head out tobogganing! Have some laughs together, and work up a sweat climbing that hill! Prepare a nice dinner- cooking together afterwards!


Go for some outdoor skating! Is there a river trail close to home? Bundle up for an afternoon of fun and movement!


Act like kids again! Try out some laser tag, skyzone, or rock climbing!


Sign up for a class together! There is something so fun about trying something new together! Maybe it’s a dance class, yoga class (Still Cove Yoga does private classes), or boxing class! Find something that sounds exciting to the both of you!


Hire a personal trainer for a fun session together! Work up a sweat together, have some laughs, and feel great for the entire day! Check out Mind and Body by Mad Back!
